Cayucos is considered by some to be one of the “last of the California beach towns”. It is certainly a laid-back and quaint community that boasts miles of sandy beach to the west and rolling hillsides to the east. The public fishing pier is 982 feet long and is a symbol of the community, as it was built in the 19th century and given an upgrade in 2015. The pier is enjoyed by both fisherman and whale watchers and is a spectacular location for watching the sun set.

Cayucos is well-known for the Brown Butter Cookie Company, famous Sea Shanty desserts, fish tacos at Ruddell’s Smokehouse, and its miles of beautiful, sandy beach. Demographics and History can be found here.
